1. In short
This website sets one cookie, and it does nothing except remember which language you are reading in. There is no analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixel and no third-party embedded content.
2. What cookies and similar technologies are
A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to store and send back on later visits. Similar technologies — local storage and session storage — also keep data in the browser, but the browser does not automatically send them to a server. The law treats all of them the same way: anything that is not strictly necessary to provide the service you asked for requires your consent.

The value is only a two-letter language code — en, tr or pl. It contains nothing that identifies you, sets no identifier, and cannot be read by any other website. It is set in two situations: when you click a language in the header, and when a first visit to the site root is sent to the Turkish or Polish version based on the language your browser asks for. It is sent back to us on later requests so the server can open the right language.
For completeness, this website does not use any of the following:
- Analytics or statistics cookies
- Advertising or retargeting technologies
- Social media pixels or share widgets
- Tag managers
- Embedded video, maps or chat widgets
- Externally hosted fonts — typefaces are served from this website, so viewing a page sends no request to a font provider
- CAPTCHA services
4. Server logs and hosting
Separately from browser storage, our hosting provider records standard request logs when a page is served — ordinarily the IP address, browser and device information, the time of the request and the address requested. This is not a cookie and is not something you can switch off from the browser, because it is created on the server. It is used to run and secure the website. The Privacy Policy explains it further.
5. How to remove what is stored
You can delete the stored language preference at any time by clearing site data for velantrachem.com in your browser settings, or by using private browsing. There is nothing else to clear. After clearing it, the site simply opens in English again and you can pick your language once more.
Blocking site data for this domain does not prevent you from reading any page or from using the contact and quote forms. It only means the site will not remember your language between visits.
We do not currently act on the browser's Do Not Track signal, because there is no non-essential tracking here for it to switch off.
